In 1800, a clerk would record everything that happened in a business in a daybook. You can still read those records today and understand not just what happened, but why. We don't have that kind of continuity today. A codebase is not a daybook. Neither is your email.
Today all our work is scattered across all kinds of digital systems. Slack, email, GitHub, the Googleverse... We're creating new information and documents constantly, but the reasoning behind decisions slips quietly into the digital dark.

Daybook is for people who work digitally. We all use so many different services now, it can be hard to catch the meaning behind what we're up to, and all the people we're working with and what we're talking about.
We've heard from freelancers and entrepreneurs that having a tool like Daybook will be useful. It can be hard for solo workers to get the kind of feedback they need. We also met with a mother who thought to use Daybook to make a note of her child's daily development.
We're designing small team features now. As well as the individual features, we're planning new group reporting, weekly, quarterly, or annually, and multi-tier prompt control: you, internal groups, and the whole organisation. You'll be able to tailor the tone of your interactions at every level.
